Long Weekend

This being President's day weekend we got a whole lot accomplished. The biggest event of the weekend was the fact that we bought a bunkbed for the boys because Nathan grew out of his toddler bed. We moved him downstairs, so him and Seth are now sharing a room again. Jared had a great time putting it together, and I had an even greater time putting the sheets on the mattresses. I broke three nails down to nubs, smashed my hand at least three times, and bumped my "funny bone" (no it wasn't funny). How in the heck do you make a bunk bed? Anyway, the boys are thrilled.
I am thrilled because Nathan actually has something that he can climb on...the ladder that goes up to the top. You know how the older child usually gets the top bunk? Well, not this time. Nathan is so happy to have something to climb up and down on that he begged to be on the top. I am happy that they are happy, and hope that it will last, and not turn into an eternal fight. Jared is happy that he got it put together and only had three extra screws.

Bunk beds will drive you insane if you are one of those people who requires a nicely made. Have you ever seen a nicely made bunk bed out side of the Pottery Barn catalog? I didn't think so. Don't worry about it it's a PERFECT thing for little boys!
