Here are some funny things, and not so funny things that happened this Christmas week:
Well, with the weather keeping us shut up in our home, we have had some considerable bouts of stomach flu and sinus infections, and runny noses, and stomach flu, and some more stomach flu. Each and every night this week SOMEBODY up-chucked. It was not great. The great thing was that it seemed to be a one time deal, and then it was over for that person, and Jared and I were not included in this sickness. I was up to my elbows in laundry, but I am thankful for a washer and dryer that work. We also got to enjoy just being home for two reasons: the weather was too nasty to go anywhere, and I was always worried about going somewhere and having the designated throw-upper doing just that: Throwing -up.
One fun thing we did admist all the holidaying, and wrapping, and you guessed it, throwing up, was build a snowman, except since the snow was too powdery for a big snowman we built a miniature one with a bucket for his head. The kids affectionately called him shorty...(I know you all are amazed at their originality). It was fun!
We also had a piano recital where the students that I teach played one duet and one solo piece. I even joined in the fun and played some songs. I made a lot of mistakes, but it was good for me to play in front of people again. I REALLY don't like doing that but it is good for me. I am not really sure why it is good for me but it sounds good, so I say it.
We went to a movie on Christmas Day. I am not really sure why because all the kids really wanted to do was stay home and play with their toys, and throw-up a little. We ended up spending an INSANE amount of money to see a movie and eat popcorn, both of which we couldn've done at home home for FREE! (Nathan ended throwing up his popcorn and candy so I considered asking for a refund). I am little bit bitter about this part of the holiday in case you couldn't tell. Jared, his Dad, and Seth and Nathan went to "Bedtime Stories" which they really liked, and Lyndi, Lawren, my Mother-in-law, and I went ot "Marley and Me", which is NOT a kid movie, and it is not funny, but true to life. I liked it what I saw of it! If you have gone to a movie with a two-year-old you will understand why I didn't get much out of it.
Yesterday we went to Tremonton to see my parents off on their second mission to Villa Hermosa Mexico. They are going into the MTC for 10 days tommorow, and then they go to SLC for a couple of days for some CES training. It is SO HARD to be without them around, but I am happy for them and the opportunity that this is for them to serve the Lord. The pain is eased by the fact that they get to email and call pretty much whenever they want. I am kind of jealous of the weather they will be enjoying too.
So there you have it! We had a very Merry Christmas, (except for the throwing-up part) and hope to have a fun time bringing in the New Year with less throw -up. I don't have ANY pictures of Christmas because I had to donate the batteries of my camera to a gift that Santa brought. He forgot the batteries the silly old guy! Ask Jared about how many stores are open on Christmas Eve at 10:30. NONE!
Here is a nice one of my missionary parents. I am pretty proud of them!

You were not in the boat alone! 4 out of 6 of us were sick Christmas week too! Looks like both our families still had a merry Christmas :)!
I am all on board with the noone being sick for New Years because it has been through our house too, just 12 hrs at a time it seems, except Emrie who is still trying to get over the chest congestion stuff. But at least she is playing again, so that is a step up.
Santa forgot to bring Libby a doll too. He only brought a Wii. I think he may have thought she already had enough? He is silly isn't he?
