Feeling all warm and fuzzy

I had a really fun day with my family today. That combined with the snow made it so I got that feeling of warmth and fuzziness. It is nice to feel that way when the world is pretty much falling apart...it is nice to have hope! I am so glad that I have the knowledge that I have and am able to feel the Spirit of Christmas despite all the darkness and problems in the world. Tonight we had a little family home evening where we talked about light vs. darkness. Since today is the winter solstice we talked about the fact that the Christmas lights and candles give off light in a very dark time of year. Then we read the account of Christmas where there was a day a night and a day with no darkness. I don't think I put my thoughts together very effectively (kind of like this post) but I think at least Lyndi understood that Christ is the light of the world. After that we went and drove around and looked at the Christmas light displays. There are some houses that really go all out around here. It is pretty fun!
Well, I hope ya'll have a great week, and if you are travelling BE CAREFUL!

That sounds like a great and meaningful FHE. I like it, and it might be our scripture study tonight after Luke 2.
I will think of you tonight while I am up wrapping presents. But you might already be done from the sound of your post. I included you in my most recent blog post this morning. Merry Christmas Other Millers! By the way, Lauren really wants to call you to make fudge, but she needs to clean.
