Last Saturday, April 18th, Lyndi turned 9. It was a fun day. I definitely do NOT feel old enough to have a nine year old.
We had a pinata....maybe in honor of her grandparents being in Mexico....It was pretty fun. I fought the urge to tune the radio into one of those Spanish stations to enhance the mood. The kids had a good time, but I think that you have to be authentically Mexican in order to do the whole "dive-after-the-candy-aggressively" thing. The kids were very polite and even shared. We had a delicious cake and ice cream, and Lyndi got spoiled from her Aunts (we had a family party this year, and she invited her good friend Taylor). She is a wonderful young lady, I feel VERY blessed to have her in our family. Unfortunately I only got one good picture of her because my camera's batteries were dying....story of my life.
Last Thursday I went to Brigham City to see my brother who is a dentist. We had all the kids' teeth clean. Seth has two cavities, and none of the others have any. Whew. Then it was my turn. Before I reveal the diagnosis let me give this disclaimer: I KNEW I had dental issues, AND I do brush my teeth. I am not going to take responsibility for my actions and I think I will chalk it up to pregnancy (although I know plenty of people who have been pregnant more times than I have, and they have never had a cavity, but I blame everything that I don't like about my body on pregnancy).
I HAVE NINE CAVITIES, possibly eight and a nasty root canal. I love my brother, and he does a great job, but I am not a big fan of going to the dentist. He has made it as pleasant as possible though. I am going back on May 15th and getting them all filled while I am asleep. Isn't modern medicine wonderful? For those of you who are "naturalists" and don't believe in medication, (do I know anyone like that?) I am sorry, but to fill nine cavities there just isn't any other way to go. Anyway, I am getting all anxious just thinking about it so I am going to stop.

So not fun for you! I get to go to the dentist on Friday. I'll let you know how it turns out. Happy Birthday to Lyndi too! Wow, nine years old! That's crazy.
Does he have any appointments open? I haven't been to the dentist for too many years to write here!
9 Cavities? Are you sure Mark isn't pulling your leg? Good luck. Love you, Mom
