Lyndi had her 8th birthday on the 18th. It was a fun day. She got to have whatever she wanted for breakfast and she chose doughnuts and orange juice. What nutrition! She took a "treat" to her class (airheads, YUK! She likes them though). When she got home from school her wonderful grandma Murdock had sent balloons to greet her, and her wonderful Grandma Miller took her out and bought her an Italian Charm bracelet. It is very cute. We again let her have whatever she wanted for dinner (cheeseburgers and french fries) and she got to open up her presents. Jared and I got her an "upgrade" bike that she absolutely loved, she also got clothes and some sidewalk chalk and paint from the other kids. Then we had her friends come over for a "pretend" sleepover. We decided that sleepovers are not going to happen in our family, and after having this party I am SO glad that we did. The party started at 6:30 and I was ready to be done at 7:00. They had a ball. We had a pillow fight on the trampoline, played the rolo game (we played it with starbursts though, and for those of you who don't know what that is, too bad. It is too hard to explain in writing, but it is wonderfully fun.) They also came dressed in their PJs and decorated pillow cases with fabric paint. That had seemed like a good idea initially, but I didn't think through the logistics of it and it didn't turn out all that great. Some little girls had paint on their PJs....ooops. They giggled and screamed and screamed some more (did I mention screaming?) Luckily for him Jared had taken the boys to the movies....He would have gone crazy. She is now looking forward to her baptism that is on May 2nd. That should be a great day too. It may sound silly, but I feel like she was just born...time flies.

You are very brave. I can't believe she is that old. Maddi will be baptized this year too and it just doesn't seem right.
I wish I could have been there for her baptism! She has such a special spirit I bet it was a great day for her!
