I have to say that one of the most of the enjoyable things in my life at this moment is owning our own home again. It really isn't anything special. It isn't extradinarily big and isn't fancy at all. It is just a house, but there is something about it being MINE. I guess it comes from a long history of moving to places where I only half want to be, but I just really love my small non-fancy house. So this morning I was taking down my drapes that I love (not the easiest task to do by yourself when there are four kids running around) because Seth pulled on them and one side of the rod was ripped out of the wall. (Guess what Jared is doing this weekend?) In so doing I got in my head a "vision" to rearrange the furniture a certain way that seemed impossible...not for me. I LOVE to rearrange furniture. There is something about moving the couch and being able to clean out all the dust bunnies and find long lost items and then decide on another place to put it that I love. I do it once a month at least. Anyway this time I wanted to remove the rug that was under the piano and put it under the couch after I moved the couch to a different spot, leaving the window and computer area less crowded. Let's face it I am a computer NERD, and having the couch so close to the computer desk was annoying me. Anyway I embarked on my quest to accomplish my vision and actually moved the piano all by myself. I was very impressed with that. Now my shag rug is under the piano, and the other rug is under the couch to keep it from sliding all over the place. It makes me so happy to do this! Do any of you like to rearrange your furniture? Am I weird? I have decided that a big part of the reason I wanted to do this blog is because I want to verify that some of my quirks are just quirks and not just pure insanity.....
