Fire Engine Red.....Literally
Okay, so today after church I was chasing down Nathan who had decided to run to the bathroom, and had told Lyndi to watch Lawren by the front doors. I found Nathan who had decided to take his shoes off in the right in the middle of the busiest hallway, and put his shoes back on him. I was trying to make my way back to where the kids were waiting, when all of the sudden a strange LOUD siren-sounding alarm went off. I was pretty disoriented, and didn't really know what it was. Seth's primary teacher said, "it was Seth," to me and had an embarrassed and frightened look on her face. Meanwhile three men from the other ward come out of the chapel looking positively irritated. I am still pretty disoriented, but then I see Jared with a bright red face, and realize, "Seth Pulled the fire alarm!" Now this is one of those things that when OTHER people's children do it, you just really think to yourself, "I hope that MY kid never does that!" I honestly didn't know what to do besides turn red myself, and usher my kids quickly to the car. We tried to explain to Seth what he had done, but I still don't think he has any idea why we are so mad at him. Anyway, it was so embarrassing. We decided we are going to make cookies for the bishop of the other ward and take them over to him tomorrow and apologize.....any other ideas? I feel so embarrassed!

THIS post made me laugh, and then I almost cried for you, because I know I would have gone home and SOBBED myself to sleep! You gotta love Seth though!
Hey! I was the primary teacher! I was just getting to know him then. What a cute kid, even after he pulled the alarm. I saw his concerned little face scrunch up and try to put it back in place and then cover his ears and look at his dad, whose arm I only saw from where I was. Just before that I had said "oh, I hope that wasn't Libby, where's Libby?" She was right there covering her ears too.
