On Thursday morning I set out with Seth, Nathan, and Lawren to go to Brigham City where I was going to see the Dentist who is my brother, Mark. I had 9 fillings and possibly a root canal to take care of, plus a vaneer on a front tooth that has been discolored for quite some time. I got there and everything went fine with the dental work. It wasn't the funnest thing in the world, but I am glad that I could get it all done in one miserable experience instead of two or three. I was going to be sedated but circumstances made it so I couldn't stay the required 48 hours afterward. So lucky me, I was able to experience four hours of grinding and drilling. I guess there really IS something to the whole floss and brush thing.
Anyway, I was driving home and a couple of hours into it, I realized that I had gone COMPLETELY the wrong way. ("Where's Malad Pass?) Right outside of Tremonton there is a fork in the road.....one that takes you to Idaho Falls, and one that takes you to Burley. BUMMER! I was too far away to turn back, so I just kept on going! Nathan kept saying in his precocious little voice, "Mom, you must have gone the wrong way because we should have been there by now." Or something to that effect. I ended up in Burley which is about an hour and a half from Brigham City, and then traveled 58 more miles to Pocatello, and then 45 more home. The trip usually only takes two hours. The problem was that I didn't have any way to get a hold of Jared because I am the only person on this earth that doesn't have a cell phone. I did stop at a rest stop and tried to call collect but it didn't go through. The thing is I had a very distinct impression that I should take a cell phone before I left, but I stupidly ignored it. Jared was so worried because I called before I left and when I didn't get home in a couple of hours he figured there had been a problem. It was A LONG trip. I guess that is what I get for not listening, huh?

Sorry that you got lost on your way home, no fun! Isn't it great you have such a nice brother to do all that dental work on his day off! Can't wait to see you in a few weeks!
I don't have one either, so we should never go on a trip together unless we borrow a phone.
We've done the same thing when taking that road. It is easy to do. So glad you are home safely.
Love,
Mom
