Colorado Trip Part II

Day 5: I went running again. It was really hard, and this time I got lost. Not a very fun thing when it is so hot, and I didn't have any water. I was able to find my way again, thanks to power of prayer, and by the end I was gasping for oxygen like I was in outer space. Pretty much the most miserable experience of the trip. We hung out for a while and Jared worked on the video of the reunion. Tiffani made 12 loaves of the most delicious bread that I have ever had....sorry mom. After Tiffani finsihed her bread, we went shopping for the food for the meal I was in charge of, and all the plasticware and stuff. It wasn't all bad because Jared was nice enough to watch the kids. Jared and I also got to go to dinner because Tiffani was nice enough to watch our kids. Afterward we went to Micah's institute class. He is so much fun! He is a really good teacher, I think it is because he loves it so much. Amazing Tiffani had all the kids in bed before we got home. It was fantastic. She's the best babysitter ever!

Day 6: The first day of the reunion. Before it started we finally got to spend some time with Melissa.....At least I did. Jared went golfing with Brendon. I tried playing a really difficult duet with her. It was fun, but really hard, and I was doing the easy part! It was fun to see Mark and Cheree when they arrived at about 3 in the afternoon. The kids played in the water, we had tacos for dinner, and then we had the talent show. It was fun to see every one's unconventional talents. Melissa and kids did a song with glass bottles, Mark's kids sang a really cute song, Monte and Megan did a dance with their kids. That was very entertaining. Micah tied Balloons, Jenna played two songs on the piano, and Becca played one too. Lyndi did a magic show, Seth and Nathan sang song "Tiny Turtle". After the Talent Show Extravaganza, the men started setting up tents, and Monte built a fire. The kids roasted marshmallows. Before bed we had a nice devotional by Micah followed by Prayer. That night the most miraculous thing happened. I slept better that night then any other night. I woke up at the crack of dawn, but EVERYONE made it the whole night outside. Amazing, huh?

Day 7: We watched movies until breakfast was ready. Mark and Cheree did a great job with breakfast. Cinnamon rolls, eggs, bacon, sausage, and orange juice. The kids played in the water some more, and the adults played a fierce game of volleyball... I was on Monte,Melissa, and Megan's team, and we played against Kerri, Brendon, Mark, and Micah. It was fun, but we lost. I did get a pretty sweet block in against Micah though. Then the men went paint balling while we had fun listening to Kerri and Megan sing and Melissa Play the piano. It's fun to see Kerri grown up. She is a really good singer/ player of the piano. When the men got home we went to lunch. We enjoyed it. It was a nice break from all the chaos. Then we went to "America the Beautiful" park where there was supposed be a really cool fountain, but it turned out it wasn't on. The kids had fun playing anyway. We returned to the house and had dinner (KFC) and a yummy cake to celebrate Micah finishing his master's degree. Then everyone played some games. Brendon slaughtered everyone in croquet, much to Monte's dismay, and most of the kids played Mario Kart on the Wii. That night Mark did the devotional. We even sang some hymns. It was nice, and the Spirit was there. Well, that is the abridged version of it. I am so glad to be home!

How nice. When I hear about the things other families do I really feel we are so unimaginative.

Good recap- wasn't the same without your parents was it. Thanks for the bread compliments. I'm glad you liked it as much as I do! Got to make more in the AM we've been out for a few days- wish you were here to enjoy it.
