We decided to celebrate Seth's birthday on June 20th instead of December 20th. Everyone else's birthday is in the late spring and summer so he always feels left out. With Christmas so close I always feel like we rush past his birthday and it adds just another thing to the Christmas season. Anyway we celebrated his birthday last Friday and it was lots of fun. He wanted a Spiderman birthday. Lately he has been pretty into Spiderman, so we had all things spiderman at his party. We also did a pinata, which didn't last as long as I thought it should have. Seth went first and knocked it down on his second swing....we hung it back up so his cousins and siblings could have a turn. It was a lot of fun.
After the party we had a fence raising party. The kids were in heaven with all the candy and new toys, so with them distracted Jared, Justin, and Taylor were able to get one of the gates put together. I'll tell you what, this fence has taken up every spare moment of the last three weeks, but I am very proud of Jared and all his hard work. We actually met our deadline and will be cleaning up the mess tommorow, and will be leaving town Wednesday. WHEW. We are glad to have it done. Not to mention the fact that it was nice to be able to have Seth's party without the whole neighborhood gawking at us.
