Jared and I got some extra dough from Uncle Sam..... We decided that even though it is a foolish plan we would help stimulate the economy by buying ourselves bikes for our birthdays. We did and it was really exciting. I felt just like a kid again. It really isn't anything special but it is nicer than the one I had. Jared's granparents had given us their bikes, and they were ANCIENT. We really enjoy going for family bike rides. Jared pulls the two youngest kids in the bike trailer and I ride with Seth and Lyndi. Mothers day we went for a family bike ride (you may think we are evil for riding bikes on Sunday, but we decided that that is a family activity that we will allow). It was so peaceful and nice. The only problem I have is that my bike seat is not built for big butts. It is quite uncomfortable, but I think that I will get a pad for it and make it better.
I am very happy with it, and have enjoyed riding bikes with the kids. There is definitely something therapeutic about riding around smelling all the flowers that are budding and listening to the trees. I guess I am getting old because I enjoy nature more. Wow...I sound like a tree-hugger. Anyway Jared and I are excited about our new bikes.

I think bike riding is an awesome Sunday activity! How fun for you!
Bike buying must be in the air. Your mom just got a new bike for her birthday and Mark has been saving his mad money for a bike too. He hasn't got one quite yet, but he is close. Bike riding is one of our favorite Sunday activities! I am happy for you, enjoy your new bikes!!!
