Another new school year!

We have started another new school year and so far it has been super busy. I haven't been all that faithful at blogging because I haven't had much time. So here is a short update. I have started my last semester of prerequisite work for nursing school. I handed in my application two weeks ago, and the rest is out of my hands. I feel good about my application, and figure I have done my part. If I don't get in it will be very disappointing, but I will deal with it. I won't know until November. Besides that I am still teaching piano, and am now the primary chorister in my ward. It is a challenging calling for me, but I am learning a lot about myself. It has also been a challenge getting into a routine this semester with everything, but I thrive on being busy and feel good about what I am doing.
Lyndi is in 4th grade this year and has the same teacher as last year. She spent the summer reading and earned 209 AR points in one day when she went back to school from all the reading she did during the summer. She is enjoying the new school year so far, and is a tremendous help around here.
Seth is in 1st grade, and is really getting good at coloring. He likes it now, which is somewhat amazing because he HATED coloring at the start of kindergarten.
Nathan started kindergarten. His teacher says he talks a lot. He is charming most of the time, but is tired after school, and is NOT used to going every day. He is happy it is a long weekend :)
Lawren is adjusting to being home alone in the morning with me. I think she has definitely taken on the 3-year-old attitude and is kind of having a hard time with the sudden busy-ness of our life after a fun, albeit short summer.
Jared has taken a new side job doing assessments and treatment plans for mentally ill adults. Any takers? Just kidding. He is doing fine, and is SO helpful with the kids and getting them ready in the morning. What would I do without him? We just celebrated our 10th anniversary. What can I say, except He's Still the One!

I don't know how you do it all Monica! I feel so lazy when I think of your busy schedule. Good luck with school this semester - you're amazing!

Good update; informative and to the point. I should take lessons.
